Toddler tricks
Rowan's milestone this week: spontaneously singing along to a new-to-him song on the radio. Brilliant choice: "Gone Daddy Gone," by the Violent Femmes. I still always think of Morgan telling me her mom saying "VEE-oh-lahn FAHm," since, you know, French word.
Second, new parent learning: It's way easier to brush a roaring lion's teeth than you might imagine. Way, way easier than brushing the teeth of a crying, tooth-clenching child. We'll try bringing that book into the bathroom again tomorrow, but I don't expect any guarantee of duplication. Toddlers like to keep you on your feet like that.
