Countdown
This was the scene earlier tonight as my sister and brother-in-law tried to force one more DVD (or, actually, a set of "Family Guy" DVDs, 14 hours of entertainment, said Mike) into the hospital bag. As soon as the car pulled away, the house--including the two hyper little dogs--went totally quiet. It's slightly eerie, knowing soon there will be twin babies around these parts, but for now, it's just me and the dogs and the yarn. (But no nappy bag, Robot or Spaceboy, because I forgot them back in Seattle. bah.) Wondering what will it be like? Really, I only have a little while longer to ponder in quiet because tomorrow I'll be dealing with our parents. I'd better cast on a sock before they can disturb my hard-fought equanimity.
