Did you ever see Dallas?

Landlord lectures, team meetings, and 1500 copies of the annual report. Cranky tiredness, whole bags of Veggie Bootie, stomach aches. Getting nervous and excited for the twins to arrive. Don't you wish you could stop by this shop and pick up some extra time?

Live shows that turn out to be blocks away instead of miles. A handsome guitar player who remembers to get you on the list, who looks up and smiles when he sees you, who is happy to cover a Jimmie Dale Gilmore song and who listens to John Prine and Steve Goodman and Ricki Lee Jones with you when you want to, who can be provoked into hilarity with one timed eye-roll.

Nearly-200-stitch cast-on rows for toddler sleeves: worth it? I hope so.

(Erica asked how the annual report was coming. It's done! It came in yesterday! But I'm now in the stages of REGRET, MASSIVE REGRET. What did I mess up? Who is going to be upset? When will I be yelled at? Why did it cost so much? Sure, it's a great report with strong messaging that really "tells our story" well. My first one that hits the mark, I'd say. But anxiety prevails.)

PS need some sunshiney, golden retrievery cuteness?

PPS I've never seen Dallas, but the contradictions in this song echo my own conflicts. Most of Jimmie Dale Gilmore's songs have that appeal for me; this isn't my favorite of his songs, but it's the one Rosyvelt covered last night.
