Time delay
Here's the first thing I bought for the babes (the yarn for the boleros was in the stash... though I broke down & bought another skein of green for matching hats and booties before the sex-identifying ultrasound):
Turns out they're double nephews! Every day a little bit closer! And I cannot figure out what kind of blankies to make for them. Tonight, I must purchase yarn. I have colors in mind, I have yarn in mind (wool cotton--but Cashsoft is Very Good too), I cannot figure out what pattern(s) to knit. Your suggestions are welcome. No need to wait for the starting gun. No need to limit yourself to blues or yarns specified. (Baby Cashmerino sounds nice too, doesn't it?) And especially no need to limit yourself to published patterns. I'll probably be making this stuff up. I'm not terribly interested in spiral blankies or any blocks that I'll need to seam; I have limited time and plenty of seaming to do already.
And now to get dressed and go back to work, where I have been spending Far Too Much Time. (So much time, it's affecting my grammar and punctuation.) Le sigh.
