(no subject)
I have to admit that I was not planning on riding to Portland in the RAIN. Well. Being over 40% of the way to my goal (some pledges are not yet tallied online) is a pretty rad birthday present. It is really astounding and wonderful to know my friends and family* are so generous and loving [hey, I don't think it's an overstatement]. My tactics for dealing with the rain and the stress are to think of you on the ride and to wear my cutest riding clothes so I'll at least feel like a pretty wet rat on a bicycle.
*My sister donated generously; let's not talk about the rest of the stooges in my family. I smirk as I write it. There is a very heavy strain of "I love them but..." for me & my fam. The good news is at least I've added the "I love them" part in the past few years.
