Dead Snow come to US theaters in June, but impatient as I am, I couldn't wait. I downloaded the movie and watched it on Sunday for Zombie Jesus Day. I highly recommend it. It's a comedy/horror, though not is the same way as Shawn of the Dead. A bunch of med students go to an isolated mountain cabin in Norway for Easter weekend. Right away, one asks how many horror movies start this way. It's very tongue in cheek though never comes across as a parody. Maybe it's because I can't tell how well they are delivering their lines. They all sound like the Swedish Chef's cousin, the Norwegian Line Cook. I just don't know enough about the cadence of the language. All the Norwegian I know comes from my Rauma Garn knitting books. (BTW - stunning Nordic knitwear in the movie.)

Once the Nazi Zombies arise and attack, the movie really gets good. So much fake blood and gore. The blood is a bit too red, but it's so striking against the stark white background and looks good on the monochrome zombies. All the zombies are dressed in grey uniforms, except one. I won't say much about that but it was a WTF? moment. The movie has some of the best use of gore ever. And I mean they use intestines as a rope. That part was awesome.

It's definitely a must see movie.
