Conversations about gender equality
Me, to someone posting on an article listing a number of things men can choose to do if they independently desire to further feminist goals: "Do you believe that women deserve an equal place in leadership?"
Their response (bold emphasis mine):
"Deserve"? What does that even mean? No one deserves anything based on gender. If you're asking if women of the same qualifications deserve a shot at leadership, my answer is: absolutely not, because women will never have the leadership qualities of men. Maybe read up on evolutionary biology? The human race has always been led by men. Men have led us to a point where we're not even in the food chain anymore. The following is pre-emptive: I am absolutely not saying t hat wome n did not contribute. But it certainly wasn't through exemplary leadership.
All feminist issues aside...
