not-holiday exchange is a GO!
Last year, we held a tiny (but awesome!) exchange here at C_Z. We'll be doing the same thing again this year, with assignments sent out in late November and due back in late JANUARY.
With Yuletide and various other winter exchanges going on in December, this seemed the best way to have the excitement and fun of a low-key, multi-media exchange without driving people mad from deadlines.
The rules will be similar to last year--1000 words of fic or a comparable submission in some other medium (art, playlist, icon sets, whatever) for a single recipient. Anonymized requests will go up for claiming at the end of this month, and--unlike last year--everyone will be assigned to post on a particular day starting from January 23rd, with no anonymous commenting period. (That turned out to be a bit more coordination than the modly crew around here could provide, and this way there's no waiting for reveals, which are a little less exciting than the ones for Yuletide, given how small our exchange is. *g*) Until posting, the assignments WILL be a secret, but as soon as the posting period ends all the requests are open for additional contributions from anyone.

If you think you'll be interested in playing, comment below so that we can get a rough idea of how long we'll need for posting. Also, if you played along last year and have suggestions for how to improve this year's exchange, this is the place to offer them!
