Do you know what makes me stop and update my LJ? Trying to work from home (and maybe the Benadryl I had earlier?).
So where was I last...? Ken finished school and got a job. A real job! They pay him money for working all week. I'm not used to such a thing. It's been more than five years. Automatic paycheck deposit is so FUCKING cool.
Abby visited her Kindergarten today. Then we got caught outside in a downpour. Soaked. Being in rain-soaked clothes is yucky. Getting out of rain-soaked clothes is one of those incredibly comforting sensory experiences - the kind that make life good.
Cora is about to be three. She's got the almost-three-crazy-assness that makes her scream and throw fits with more intention and commitment than ever before. She's also really cute and charming. Damn Leo...
Putting the kids to bed is still hard. So is making them brush their teeth and find the toilet to pee in the middle of the night. But none of it is too hard.
We're going to the beach next week. Today was our last day of work and school before our vacation starts. That's how I find myself sitting here trying to work - loose ends. But it's only Friday, right? I've got all weekend. So who cares?
