The pain is way worse this morning. The best time is about 20-30 minutes after I take my liquid Vicodin, when it first starts to kick in. Feels wonderful. I keep having to wake up every 2 hours to hydrate and take meds, so I am so happy I have 2 weeks off. I don't think I've ever had strep that hurt this bad, and the doctor said this weekend would be the most painful time for me. Don't get me wrong, I can handle the pain. It's one of those pains that you don't really feel at its full strength until you actually move it or something touches it. Sitting here right now, it hurts a bit, but I can't really feel intense pain until I move the muscles or swallow something, so at least I can get relief for now. No clue what it will be like this weekend. I finally looked at the back of my throat in the mirror. It looks just like I expected it to. Super gross. I am ready for another dose of Vicodin. I took it 3 hours ago, so I still need to wait an hour. I'm just forcing Sprite Zero down the my throat as much as possible as well as ice. I absolutely LOVE broth and mashed potatoes watered down with chicken broth right now. It tastes really, really good.
