All these lines across my face tell you the story of who I am

Just a brief update today as I'm saving my battery for important matters, such as scramble with words and facebook.

I have a new love - my new 4'6" bolster pillow. I've been trying to find something to make my many hours spent in bed a bit more comfortable and thought I'd give a bolster pillow a go. Bolster pillows are like the snoods of the haberdashery world - just so very versatile. I'm currently propped in between an arch of duck feather filled loveliness and it feeeeeels goooooood! I'm hoping it will reduce some of the back and neck pain I've been getting.

In other news, I've started my writing course. Just been reading through the first few modules - a basic introduction to writing. It's a bit old hat so far but that's no surprise given my previous experience. I've been inspired to start writing some fiction. Only three paragraphs so far but it's a start.

My drawing is improving steadily too. Today's lesson focused on composition and shading. It was frustrating at first as I've lost a lot of my fine motor skills, thanks to illness, so I'm not as good as I used to be. However, I keep reminding myself "it's not a competition" and think I'm doing well all things considered. I'll maybe post some scribbles later.

Now I am going to read for several hours and try not to pay any heed to my throbbing hand. I've got a sneaking suspicion it might be carpal tunnel related so I am going to do the sensible thing and ignore it.
