It's been about an hour now. Has it stopped raining yet? It is sunny outside here. Even though it is only 7:30ish, it is already around 70 degrees. Sure would like to go for a ride around Shanghai in the Van (or Pinto as it stands).

It stopped raining and is sunny, thanks for checking.
The cashier at Ace hardware noticed my Thundercats shirt and commented how annoying Snarf was. We had a conversation about annoying sidekicks of the 80s and how the trend seemed to ultimately trace back to R2D2 and C3PO.

I was just trying to prove you wrong.
Sherlock Holmes and Watson... Nah, Watson was never annoying, and was actually the victim of Holmes' snobbery
Barney Fife... nope, he was funny, not annoying.
Eddie Haskel... annoying, yes, but a sidekick not

Thinking of Ace hardware reminds me of how I miss dime stores.

There is a "5 and Dime" on 36 and Clyde Park here.
The sign, the store and most of what is inside looks like it hasn't changed much in 30 years.
I love to look around the place any time I end up out in that area. One day I might go there with Evan to buy a "kite."
