Potions

Years 5th, 6th, and 7th
Fifth Years:
- OWLs: This includes review from all previous years as well as new lessons.
- Mood Affecting Potions (Draught of Peace, Amortentia, Calming Draught, Induced Euphoria, Hate Potion, Draught of Living Death, Invigoration Draught)
Sixth Years: (Must receive an E or higher on your OWLs to attend this class)
- Medical Potions (Blood-Replenishing Potion, Boil Cute Potion, Bruise-Healing Paste, Burn-Healing Paste, Murtlap Essence, Pepperup Potion, Antidotes)
- Everlasting Elixirs
Seventh Years:
- NEWTs: This includes review from all previous years as well as new lessons.
- Physical Altering Potions (Aging Potion, Beautification Potion, Hair Growth Potion, Polyjuice Potion, Shrinking Solution, Swelling Solution, Strengthening Solution)
- Mind Altering Potions (Wit-Sharpening Potion, Felix Felicis, Befuddlement Draught, Memory Potions)
In Class
- Misbehavior will not be tolerated and will result in detention or loss of house points.
- There will be no talking while the professor is talking.
- There will be no food. Yes, this also includes ingesting potion ingredients.
- You will arrive to class prepared.
Assignments
- All practical assignments will be done in class. Most of your grade will depend on practicals.
- All written assignments will be given as homework.
- There may be a quiz at anytime.
- There will be a Midterm and a Final Exam.
- If you miss an assignment due to absenteeism, you will be given one chance for make-up. Missed assignments due to delinquency will not be made-up.
- I do provide extra credit.
Absences
- There will be no unexcused absences. If you were absent, you must provide a note signed by a professor or the Headmaster.
- You may only be absent if you are in the hospital wing with an serious illness, injury, death in the family, or death of self.
