I'll start off by announcing that I am now available for counselling sessions. While I do accept walk-ins, I would suggest making an appointment to ensure a chance to see me.

I certainly hope everyone has been prepared for class this week. The first couple of weeks will be a grace period, but I expect you to have everything you need by the 13th.

Your first assignment is as follows:

First Years: Magical Draughts and Potions - Chapters 1 & 2

Second Years: One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi - Chapter 2

Third Years: Magical Draughts and Potions - Chapter 15; List the most common uses Potions have in a household.

Fourth Years: Magical Draughts and Potions - Chapters 23 & 25; Be sure to know the difference between an Antidote and an Elixir.

Fifth Years: Advanced Potion-Making - Chapter 5; List the moods and emotions that can be altered with a potion and explain the dangers that come with tampering.

Sixth Years: Advanced Potion-Making - Chapter 17; What are you allergic to?

Seventh Years: Have an Alchemist chosen by class on Monday.
