¿Que Hora Es?

I got a copy of Cedric The Entertainer Presents on DVD.  There's a sketch in it called ¿Que Hora Es?

Hilarious!  It's a satire of Latin American soap operas and persons with limited Spanish language proficiency myself included. "El pollo loco..." hahahaha.
I've been watching a telenovela on Telemundo (9 p.m. Mon-Fri) called Zorro: La Rosa y La Espada.  Notice the resemblance to the Cedric sketch, which predates Zorro by 5 years. Intro with theme song sung by Beyonce and Alejandro Fernandez:

Zorro features a pan-Latin array of hot cast members and was made in Colombia. Loosely based on Isabel Allende's novel El Zorro, it's a fun mix of drama, adventure, period piece, social commentary and humor. It's so addictive, I actually look forward to Mondays during the weekend when the show does not come on. Thankfully, "my stories" have closed caption English subtitles. I learned English by watching TV, so why can't I learn Spanish that way? Terms learned: gitana/o (gypsy), marquesa (marquise), maldito sea! (damn it!)
