I will start on a bad note, 2 things I don't love, so I can end on the good.
1. I don't love people leaving my little sister's one and only 16th birthday party to attend a Shakespeare play that is lasting until next Saturday. Seriously, we can see it next time.
2. Bad goalies in the Stanley Cup Final.
In other news, I love birthday parties! Little sis turned 16 last Thursday, so my mom really wanted to throw her a little get-together today. We had lots of good food, Jack and I stayed in the pool for 2-3 hours splashing around, and eventually my mom broke out the old school journals from Stevie's 1st grade year. Everything to her was a "blast from the past." She must have heard that on TV or something...seriously, her use of that phrase was terrible when she was 6. "Today Grandma visited. It was a blast from the past!"
Also, though Jack had to leave about an hour ago so he could go to his grandma's house early in the morning to cut trees, we still had a lot of fun in the short time he was here. I really enjoy watching cartoons with him for some reason. I think it's because we both occasionally like to revert back to our childhood, even if we were watching Finding Nemo, which came out while I was in middle school. That's a good movie. Like I said earlier, we splashed around, and he introduced me to his "Couch Potato Workout Routine," which is basically doing 10 push-ups and sit-ups during each commercial break. Hey, works for me.
