Just to let you know what I've been seeing...

I don't have a digital camera. So, just to give a sneek peek of what I have been seeing, I actually went online and found pictures of places I went. I know that it's not the same, but it still gives you a ruff clue of what I have been experiencing/seeing. Thankyou to the websites I took these from.

First, where I live, and places I hang around:

I live on the side of this hill in the background called Likavittos. It's a nice little apartment. It's kind of stoic, but there is no use decorating it if I'm only there for 4 months, LoL. Also, that classical looking building was once the palace of the "king" of Greece(who was actually a Bavarian who the western powers of the time placed there because they though the Greeks couldn't handle ruling themselves). It is now the Parliament building, and there is a very central square there. It's called "Syntagma Square" or Plateia Syntagmos", which means "Constitution Square" It has many stray dogs, LoL:

Another picture of Syntagma Square, but those fountains are never working:

Now for the place I shop. This is monastiraki, something comparable to a bazaar were they have everything, and they say that you should "never accept anything higher than half the price". LoL, that's an exageration, but it means you can bargain things way down:

There is also this old mosque, ("tzami" in Greek) that is now a Museum, and underneath it's shops:

Now for the coolest part of Athens, Plaka. It has all the nice restaurants, and looks like a small village within the city! LoL, my friend Porfyrios refers to it when I describe it as, "the secret horio"(the secret village). We trying to get to the Arcropolis through Plaka, it's crazy! The streets are as narrow as a hallway in house and painted white, and the signs are hand written:

Now, for one of the coolest trips that my school went on, Nafplio. It was near the beach, and the water was so clear that you can see like 10 feet deep! Nothing like NJ water. It also was a very popular Vetetian town durin the crusader occupation, and popular with the Turks. It was also the 1st capital of Greece:

Also, the beautiful monastery of Hosios Loukas, who is now a saint. His body seems to be uncorrupted(not decomposed), and I went and saw his relics there. A beautiful place:

And now, in anticipation, where I plan on going this weekend, Aigina. This is the Church of St. Nektarios, where his relics are:
