Well, it worked. I crammed like I was back at "The Institute" and studied 4 hours Sunday night, slept restlessly for about 7 hours, studied 3 more hours, then took the exam for 3.5 hours. I think I did well. And yes, there was a Star Trek question (more of a Star Trek set up, and all of the sub-questions were just about neuroscience). The 'extra credit' part asked which was cooler, the fact that place cells in the hippocampus fire backwards in a 'traceback' pattern in our sleep, or Star Trek. I said they were both cool, but the latest movie elicited more of an excitatory response in me. And then I gave him my modified Bones quote and asked him to consider my meager biology background when grading the question :)
So, I'm done with what might be my last class ever. Gotta get the condo ready for Bill's mom to arrive tomorrow (for his commencement on Sunday!) and then think about monkey scans.
