[Kei gets up from his deck to slings his backpack behind his back with one arm before he takes a glance over at Sasaki.]

... [He might as well walk over to the cute girl.] What exactly are you doing? You've been writing away at those notes for a long time now.

[She glances up at him briefly, appraisingly, for one moment.]

I'm designing an experiment that I'm intending to carry out tonight.

Like what? Making a volcano out of clay and soda?

[She laughs, rather pleasantly.]

No, no. I'm testing the resurrection abilities of Mayfield, as applied to insects.

[aliensinyour]

--E-eh?! Y-You're killing insects to just see how resurrection works around here?

[cramschoolgod]

[She blinks.] If they're resurrected, it's not going to do any permanent harm to them. And ... even if not, they're insects. They die regularly. They may not even be real, as residents of this place. Seeing how resurrection works may be important knowledge. Or it might not, we don't know until we try.

I just hope you don't move onto testing this out on people.
