I read the comments on the naturalliving post, and I have to agree- I think cleanses are not worth it. Having to shit a lot isn't going to clean your body or help you change habits, you should just eat some good healthy food! If you're capable of not eating any food for 5 days (master cleanse-style), then you should also be able to eat healthy for 5 days. Maybe cut out flour, sugar, pastas... eat lots of fresh veggies, whole grains... it will be better for you in the long run! I have a PDF file for the Wild Rose cleanse that I can email to you if you'd like. It's a cleanse that involves eating good food for 12 days, it has lists of what you can/can't eat, etc. There are also detox supplements that you can take, but I bet you could just buy some Yogi detox tea instead. Let me know your email address if you want the info!

i actually bought the yogi detox tea as well and you are probably right about detox. i've tried it in the past but have never felt that it was something i could do and still feel healthy. i always felt uncomfortable, lethargic and out of sorts most of the time. yesterday i was so tired i actually had to take a nap mid-day which is something i never do or find myself having to do. but my email is crampthatbites@yahoo.com..

i think i was just mainly interested in getting rid of the toxins in my body, ie: alcohol and caffeine. but you are right, if i'm able to cut back completely i should be able to afford the conscious effort to cut back on a day to day basis :)

I tried the master cleanse once last year, and I didn't even get through day 1! By the end of the day I was dryheaving a lot and I just gave up. I believe in detoxing, in the sense that your body can react in a negative way when you eliminate something that it's used to (caffeine is a great example), but I just felt so horrible and I knew there had to be a better way.

I emailed you the Wild Rose cleanse and also some meal ideas & recipes that I wrote up for my friend who is doing the cleanse right now. I hope it is all helpful to you!
