Ideas for the day : Laundry. A must really. Clothes are piling up and up and up. And cleaning the room. Reorganization! Shooting for book arts -- ? Exploring my neighborhood. This of course is a pondering of mine, should I shoot with my Hasselblad or adventure out with my dad’s old vintage Ansco camera (which is fun and feels oh so delicately charming in my hands). Search out thrift stores for old books, magazines, photos to add expression to the concept of the mentality of my ‘homestead’ so to speak. Not to mention I could go for some clothing with atmosphere, some bits and pieces that are random and close-at-heart. Baking Vegan brownies, cupcakes, goodies… (Donuts from Phil’s are killing me, softly but surely). To bed early! I want masses amounts of sleep. Mmmmmmm, sleep with fresh washed sheets and flesh.
Tomorrow : Work, develop film, c-print for Alyson and still life. Wabi Sabi --- I shoot two rolls on my dad’s camera at Building Resources, which I’m excited about ; double exposures, soft light, wild mannered junk. It’s funny too that the salvage yard has a sign posted about that very concept of Wabi Sabi. It makes sense though, finding perfection in the imperfections of life, in wood and glass and metal and ..
Sunday : Work, a free day? Here’s to actually ‘maybe’ enjoying life. Perhaps exploring more thrift stores for supply ideas for my midterm for book arts. Oh and maybe Bad Movie night at the Dark Room Theater. Other than that bed to sleep off sickness.
