A question that's been weighing on my mind lately is how our next President would handle the "enhanced" executive power bequeathed by the current Administration.
Looking around, I found a
Q&A from last year's Boston Globe (hence the large number of candidates involved). Apologies to those for whom this is old news.
Outside of the scope of the questionnaire is: what steps can/should the entire government take to close the legal/Constitutional loopholes that allowed the power of the executive branch to be wielded so, for lack of a better word, autocratically? Has either remaining Presidential candidate mentioned a specific plan for relinquishment? I couldn't find anything on (my rather cursory tours of) either one's website.
