Post Surgery updates
So, I'm back at home after thye surgery adn everything went well. Dr. Vane my surgeon said the procedure went off with out a hitch and my recovery should be pretty normal. I have a feeling it's going to take a little longer than ususal, only because I'm 22 and most of the people he does this surgery on are 10, 12, 14 years old. Still very malleable.
The hospital was a mixed bag. I had some phenominal nurses, and I had some horrible ones. The highlights: Lyndsay - my first nurse when I was on the pediatric floor. SO HAPPY! So nice, made me feel so safe and comfortable.
Amanda - my second night nurse. I had her for 3 of the 5 nights I stayed in the hospital and I wish i could have had her for everyone. She made me feel ilke she was on my side, and the hospital at night is a strange place...she helped make it a little homier. also, she juiced me really good. I was never in pain when she was on.
Next time : The evil mullet bitch Nurse devil, and two of the most colorful roommates I could ask for.
For now, I'm off to take my first shower since Tuesday (i've sponge bathed). I have a plastic bag duck taped to my stomach, to protect the JP drain and the sutures.
