Single 30-something looking... to take up photography.
So I took lots of photos over the past few days, and I'm not so happy with a lot of the photos I took. I don't have my own camera, I only use my mom's digicam, so I can't really complain, but I wish I had something more responsive, something that would really let me "capture the moment", so to speak. So here's what happens you see. Either, (a) the moment passes because the camera sortof takes some time before capturing an image, or (b) the subject notices I'm about to take a picture (because of the red light the camera emits before taking the picture) and poses.
Okay. So I'm thinking, I'd like a camera that's a bit more responsive. And won't really let people know I'm taking their picture. And I'm certain I want to take up photography. If anyone out there knows what the logical first step to take is -- lessons, get a decent beginner's camera -- I'm open to inputs/ suggestions :-)
