May means spring. Spring means spring cleaning. With spring cleaning comes the realization that I have more books than I can cram on my bookshelves, and no intention of getting another bookshelf at the moment. So I trimmed my collection some. If anyone might want any from the list below please let me know.
(Note: I haven't read some of these, so can't offer an opinion on all of them. Although they're all probably pretty good.)
1. The Amulet of Samarkand/The Bartemaueus Trilogy, by Jonathan Stroud. (Note: pretty amusing. One of those "if you liked Harry Potter, you might like..." types.)
2. Cry, The Beloved Country, by Alan Paton.
3. Marrying off Mother, by Gerrald Durell
4. Best American short stories of the 20th Century, edited by John Updike.
5. Eva Luna, by Isabel Allende.
6. Flowers for Algernon, by Daniel Keyes
7. Surfacing, by Margaret Atwood
8. Around the world in 80 days, by Jules Verne
9. Doctor Zhivago, by Boris Pasternak
10. Flappers and philosophers, by F. Scott Fitzgerald
11. The Portrait of a lady, by Henry James
12. Bet me, by Jennifer Crusie
13. Only begotten daughter, by James Morrow
