A lot has happened since I last posted. I don't even know where to start. Thus, I will separate everything into its own tidy little section.
MOVIES:
Recently I have seen a few good movies. The only ones that I care to mention are Spiderman-2 and Farhenheit 9/11. Both were fantastic movies. One was about a power-hungry madman who was being controlled by outside forces and would do anything to further his own cause. And the other had SPIDERMAN!!!! (ok ok...shameless joke, I know, but I couldn't resist) Anyway, I suggest that everyone should see these two movies. While I personally liked Bowling... better than Farenheit, it still had a lot of important messages that everyone should hear. And the other had SPIDERMAN!!!
WORK:
Well, Session 1 just ended and I still love my job. I'm with a new group next session and I'm really excited about it. And, what might be the best part of my summer so far, I found out on Friday that the kid that I spent time with all this session with autism will be back next session since his mom was so impressed with the camp. WOO HOO!!! I couldn't wipe the grin off of my face. The camp shows went pretty well too. I was able to make it through all of the songs I was supposed to sing even though I was pretty sick. I didn't sound great, but I think the parents understood. Oh well. My kids, however, did an AWESOME job. I was so proud of them. I can't wait to do it all again.
HEALTH:
I had to take a day off of work last week (which I HATE doing) because I was quite ill. I even managed to lose my voice for a night for the first time ever. Luckily Mandy was there to talk for me. Anyway, I was still kind of feeling bad last night, but my dad told me about a little theory he had about illness from his college days. He said that he always figured that if you could get your blood-alcohol level high enough that the bacteria could no longer live there, then you would be cured. I know that that is impossible, but I figured I'd give it a try anyway.
GENERAL FREIND HANG-OUT TIME:
Wow, I have some of the best friends ever. They have made this summer (not to mention my life in general) FANTASTIC. Between creepy 3-page letters =^) and midnight movies, the past week has been insane. To add to the craziness, last night is the 3rd night of the summer that i can't remember. All I know is that I woke up on the floor in my bathing suit and had no idea where my clothes were. The rest I had to be filled in on. Needless to say, it was a good time. I look forward to more of the same.
Well, I suppose that's it for now. After the stunning conversation I just had at the Village Inn with Russell, Tania, and her friend, I have the strong urge to go cry myself to sleep. I hope everyone has a happy 4th!
