The Week in Review...
Ok, highlights from the last week or so...
Capitol Hill High's filmed version played at CHAC. I missed it, coz I was too depressed to leave the apt and be around people. It happens. Can't be upbeat all the time! But, it worked out, coz I've gotten feedback online from peeps.
Peaches and Cream, those crime-fightin' bitches, hit the streets three times in one week to protect the masses (even while off duty!) and have fun. Unlike many of Josh and my other drag creations, these ones are pretty self-explanatory. We're going to do a show with them that we've been talking about for forever, but not any time soon. Still, it was fun to workshop them. The Seattle Spit crowd laughed at Cream making the sounds of a bongo drum during her beatnik poem, but were confused by her yoga antics (no one knew who Ali McGraw was) and BeeGees singing. It ended with crickets and Cream demanding everyone be safe. I guess they thought Cream was a little too tough. The gurls also did karoake all three nights. Peaches did 'Dear Peaches' and Cream did 'Emotions' a couple times each. They tried to save Kozak's from closing (their detective work has unearthed this sad info). We didn't pull in a GMP-sized crowd (too little notice to the public), but maybe they'll try again soon.
I told someone yesterday that I've been single for 9 years now. She said I should never be single. Ha! But, I did have a photographer ask me to take part in a project! I've been bitching lately that I can't find a photographer to work with again. I miss doing that. And collages...I need to make more collages!
Work has started on Episode Dos of Capitol Hill High How Are You? And just Bad Actor Productions in general. I got my printer to work with my laptop! I figured it out on my own and got a replacement ink cartridge w/out any breakdowns! (oh yeah, I have my own laptop back...the repairman said it's a 'low end model'..ahem...but I still love my laptop!)
This weekend is all about Portland Oregon! My ex-room mate, aka Em'ma Gawd!, is starting the Portland edition of Guerrilla Masquerade. Anna Rexia, Courtney Love(Josh), Dirty Bunny, and more are going down there to celebrate this momentous event! And guess what? It'll be my first time going to Portland! And frankly, when do I EVER get out of town, let alone the STATE?!? UH....nevah!
I'm down to two jobs now. I finished up the pr assistant gig at CHAC. I learned a lot and my press releases are gonna just keep gettin' better!
