None of the photos could be salvaged...*sniff!*
Well, last night's costume changes will have to live on in our memories. The flash-less disposable camera I accidentally bought produced zero salvageable pix. :-(
So, Little Edie and Anna Rexia, in a tuxedo dress-let, went to the Bus Stop for some karoake. We saw Spencer as a Transformer, Jayson as a rodeo clown, and...well, other people not in costumes.
Little Edie only got to sing one song she actually signed up (Dear Prudence, Siouxsie styel) for in the three songs she sang. but it was kismet, the songs actually worked out great for her. She costume-changed into her spangly performing costume and whipped out her flag and danced, also broke out a Liza Minelli meets Sweet Charity era Shirley McLane outfit (black dress and pearls and fishnets), and finally became Frankenfurter (throwing down Touch Me).
Ade', hostess supreme, announced Anna Rexia as 'not wearing very much'. :-) The dress I borrowed from Josh was basically a bow with a train, and nothing else. Anna showed chest, shoulders, back, and her red bloomers were highly visible in the crotch area.
Anna did her version of a Kate Bush song: 'baboobie-ah-baboobies!', and ended by announcing that she loved Jewel!
Later, Anna changed into her AnnaZatanna type look, and did Leather and Lace. People laughed when she switched to the deeper tones of Don Henley. At the very end, when ALL of our friends had left, Anna threw down with Ain't No Other Man by Christina Aguilera. People loved it, and Anna used every last vocal chord to get it done!
So, alas, until next, if ever, we break out those costumes, you'll simply have to imagine Josh looking like the lead singer of Concrete Blonde wearing a scary 80s coat, Anna looking like a newly ex-virgin teenaged chick on prom night, and both of them wearing fishnets....*sniff*
...good times.
