Hmmm closest thing that I can think of would be Saphire and Steel or Indigo Prime from 2000ad (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigo_Prime). But they're mostly about 'fixing' time something like the Man from Uncle but with time travel would be ace I think.
