Reason #1 to add Never Mind the Bollocks to your collection: it's great. It's hugely influential and endlessly copied, but that doesnt matter one whit to me. If it hadn't sold more than a few dozen copies or reached beyond a handful of listeners, it would still be great. Had I stumbled across it in some bargain bin, I'd be talking it up to people. "There's this album you've gotta hear!"

Somehow I just knew you'd chime in about that. Personally, if I'm going to go trolling through rock's back catalog, I'd rather dig up something more obscure like, say, the Feelies' Strange Rhythms, which recently got reissued by Bar None. I've always had more of an affinity for post-punk and new wave, anyway.
