Carpet is finally in!

Yesterday, my parents took the day off because we were having the flooring company coming over to install new carpet in the living room, dining room, and the steps/hallway up to my bedroom. The night before, I had to help my father move the heavy stuff out of the dining room, because they were going to start there. We moved my mother's big hutch, small drysink, the table, plants etc... We also went into the living room, and propped the entertainment center up on two movable dollies, so the entertainment center could be readily moved when the flooring guys got here. That wasn't an easy feat. That entertainment center probably weighs about 300-400 lbs. We did it though. I went to work, and when I got home, it was all done. My parents said it took them about 4-5 hours to get it done. It looks really good, and its so cushy under your feet! (So much better than the underlayment plywood we've been walking on for about a year now since we ripped up the old carpet)! Today my parents are headed to Bob's (which is a furniture store in Portland, ME) to look for a new loveseat and some recliners. I don't think they will purchase anything today, but they said possibly they may, if they come across a good enough deal.
Caitlin is home for the first time since venturing off to college. She came home last night. After I had dinner with my parents, I headed over there, only for a couple hours, because turns out I was pretty tired. It was quite an exhausting week at work. The month started out slow, but it has definitely picked up towards this latter part of it. I think all in all we'll have a very good month. So, I visited with Caitlin from roughly 7p-9p, and then came home. I got to see her mom too for a little bit. We basically sat on the couch and talked about her experiences so far in college. Watched a little bit of tv too, but not much.
Today's plan is, she's coming over here. I have to run to Dover, NH to drop off my skis to be tuned and waxed. Next saturday, a couple of us from work are going night skiing at Gunstock, in NH. Its something we've been planning for about a month now. It should be fun. We're going to do the night skiing package, from 4p - 10p, because its only like $25 bucks. Can't beat that with a stick! I prefer night skiing anyways, its less crowded, and the trails are usually freshly groomed right before they click the lights on. Caitlin also needs to run an errand as well, so we'll do that while we are out on the road. After that, I'm not really sure what is up for the rest of the day. I'm sure we'll figure something out.

Until the next installment...
