Caitie's Moved In
Today was move in day for my girlfriend Caitlin at SNHU in Manchester, NH. I got up around 7a, got ready, went out and cleaned my car off (because we got some sleet/snow/rain last night... and got ready to go. I was at her place around 8:30a. When I got there, her parents were having a bite to eat for breakfast. I helped her pack up some last minute things, and then I went out and cleaned off her car, got it started up etc... Once everything was packed into her car, we put some more items in her dad's jeep. Caitlin and I drove in her car, and her parents drove in the jeep. Seeing as it was snowy out and the roads weren't in the greatest of conditions, I offered to drive, because I know Caitlin doesn't particularly like to do so. I think she was a little relieved that I drove. I'm fine driving in the snowy weather. I'm used to it going to and fro' to my job in Portsmouth. We got to SNHU around 10:30a or so. Registered. Moved stuff in the apartment. It was definitely not a day for moving in. It was cold as hell, and the wind was whipping around to boot, making it even COLDER. It felt like 20 below zero, no kidding. After all her stuff was in the apartment, we moved a couple things around (her father and I) to rearrange the room a little more to her liking. After that, we all decided to go out for lunch. We went to a restaurant called The Puritan. They all had a fancy meal, and here I am, choosing the baconburger. Oh well :P It was damn tasty! After the meal, we shot over to WalMart to pick up a few last minute items, and then Shaw's, so she'd have some essentials for this week. Then we took her back to the apartment, made a short stop there to drop that stuff off, and decided to head out. By this time it was about 20 minutes to 4p. I rode home with Caitlin's parents in the Jeep, because obviously Caitlin's car is staying on campus so she can come home on the weekends. It was nice to spend some time alone with her parents. I really haven't done so since we started going out. They are very good to me :) We got back to Caitlin's house around quarter past 6p. Her dad helped me clean my car off, and then I headed home. Got home around 6:30p or so.... ate a quick dinner (pancakes)... took a shower... and now I'm just chillin'. I already miss her. But I know I will get to see her on weekends, so things will be ok. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, no? I did call her on my way home though just to check in with her and see how she was doing. I know she really doesn't want to be away from home... but I think she's going to be ok. It will be an experience for her, and she'll make new friends etc..
Anyhoo, I'm just chillin' surfing the net and listening to some new cd's I picked up through BMG within the last week. Bedtime in the next 2 hours or so. Back to work tomorrow. I'm feeling much better than a few days ago... so I'm ready to get back to work. Money is essential. Oh, and my paycheck still hasn't posted from friday. Damn ADP. The accountant is going to get on the horn about that first thing tomorrow morning. Apparently its just my paycheck and Sean's (my boss). Everyone else's posted as normal. I guess we're the oddballs out :P
