PISTA basketball tournament was dope. My team lost our first and second game, which meant we were done quick. I'm kind of glad we didn't go far because after the second game my knee hurt bad. My team consisted of 3 filipino dudes and me. Friends forever man. At 6'1, 180 I was the biggest guy on my team. While waiting to play all the hudge 6'7, 240 pound guys come in and we just laughed. Some dude who plays or played in Europe walks by and we laugh some more. Hey, we are there to have fun. We know we have no chance, but the one chance we did have was to stick together and that's what we did. We almost won our second game. My friend and I went into this dude's face, funny thing was he had nobody on his team backing him up. I think he got scared. All of us being busy we don't play anymore and fatigue set in and we lost, but we stuck together and that's all that matters.
So what did I learn from the weekend... Stick together. It's the best thing you can do and even if you don't win, you still end up feeling better and learning more than the people that beat you.
