So, GIMP 2.0 came out yesterday. Its an open-source image editor, very similar to photoshop. BUT FREE. Its come a long way since the last version i tried, so i'm definitely hanging on to it this time. Runs VERY well on os x, and they have linux and unix versions too, and I think i saw that someone had even ported a windows version (can't imagine why). Anyway. I like free. I cheated and used a packaged installation, but i took a look at some of the source and it is TIGHT. I'm getting a little out of the loop when it comes to coding...its been a while since i've done much, and its starting to seep out of my brain. I was never terribly good at it anyway, so i'll live.
