(no subject)
I got made redundant from my new job in Washington. Called into the office and let go on Wednesday. Had to leave right away after handing in my key and security pass. No problem with my performance, just the company had to make redundancies. Went back to the flat and had a last night out with my flatmates and then just came home on the thursday.
Signed back on the dole on Monday and now back to job hunting. I'm a bit worried now. I don't have a big redundancy this time so I'll need to get the housing benefit and council tax relief sorted too. If I'm entitled to any that is.
I'm just so annoyed at GAC. Why did they take me on if they were losing money? I've spent so much money moving down there, on flats and cars, not least feeding myself and so on. I'm just hoping my landlord in Sunderland isn't going to pursue me for the two months rent left on my contract.
I do have three weeks pay coming in next week from GAC and all my holiday pay, so I should see a lump sum slightly bigger than my salary, but then that's it. I suspose on the bright side I'm back in Hawick all the time now and with Lynsey. I just hope I get something around here. I can forget about a big salary that's for sure.
