A new dawn rises over the land of the Gaulois. My new activity to stave of the repetition is responding to posts on an EFL Teachers forum with numerous posts from newly certified TEFL candidates who want to move to France asap. They're often at a similar point I was five years ago, and a part of me wants to help newbies succeed just like I've been helped in the past.
The other part wants to scream "Read the room!" perhaps this isn't the wisest moment to start living your Emily in Paris fantasy. All things related to French administration and government are notoriously frustrating in the best of times, why subject yourself to even more extreme conditions thanks to the pandemic?
