"So, I have a plan," Tony Stark said. "It's a very good plan considering our options."
"Which means it's a terrible plan, but we've got to try something," Commander Chang said.
"You remember that Mysterio chump Peter Parker was dealing with for a bit there? Turns out, he's from that other dimension where that other Peter Parker and our huge purple friend are from," Stark explained.
"By the way, thanks for telling me about there being another Peter Parker," Jessica said.
"One issue at a time, Jess," Stark pleaded. "Mysterio had a portal that he could use to go between worlds. It's how Peter Parker came here and how we sent him back. And it's how Miles Morales made a quick stop over on that Earth once."
"Mysterio told us that the man to speak to is Reed Richards, who isn't a complete waste of genetic material there," Chang said.
"I'm going to go there, find this less-douchey Reed Richards, and I'm going to find out what the hell he knows about stopping this entity. But, and this is the fun part, we don't know if he'll work with us or even if we can find him in time."
"That's where you come in," Chang said. "Your reports indicate that there are people in Fandom who are similarly alternate versions of people we know?"
"Yeah," Jessica said. "Fandom has a Hawkeye, a Kitty Pryde, even a Thor. A bunch of people who I don't even know here, but who are well aware of non-psychotic Reed Richards."
"Go to Fandom. Get as much information as you can on this entity," Chang ordered. "And come back as fast as you can. Best case, both you and Stark bring back complementary information. Worst case that I'm willing to think about, only one of you brings back something that can help."
"Here's a bomb to threaten Portalocity with to ensure a smooth trip," Stark said, giving a sphere to Jessica. "It's just going to play annoying music if you're not back fast enough to disarm it, but they don't know that."
"Will do," Jessica said. "I'll be back as fast as I possibly can. And I already know a couple people I should talk to first."
