Jessica's quarters, Triskelion, Manhattan, Tuesday morning
Jessica was starting to think that coincidence was an actual identifiable force in the universe. She came to New York to talk Miles into helping her bring down Roxxon. He said no and went out for dinner at a Chinese restaurant where there just happened to be a super fight.
Combing through the Bugle article, she came away with some quick facts. One, the fight featured a former criminal Spider-Woman beat up once called Bombshell. Well, she and her mom were the Bombshells. Her mom was a terrible influence. Last she heard, the littler Bombshell - Lana Baumgartner - ended up going to school with Peter Parker before he died.
Two, the other side of the fight was a duo named Cloak and Dagger. Jessica actually recognized Dagger. She was a girl named Tandy Bowen, who also went to school with Peter. Some additional digging suggested that Cloak was Tyrone Johnson, Tandy's boyfriend from another school. They were on their way to a school dance when a car hit their limo, leaving both comatose.
Three, there were SHIELD files on all three of them, all hinting that they were tied to Roxxon in some way.
Four, this fight happened right in front of a guy refusing to be Spider-Man.
Five, a certain Gwen Stacy - former girlfriend of Peter Parker who also went to that same school and was brought back to life by Roxxon once upon a time - was quoted in the Bugle article because she worked at that restaurant.
And six, all of this happened immediately after Jessica came back to New York to bring Roxxon down.
Coincidence was amazing. Now Jessica had a plan of attack and some additional people to pull in to help. Maybe Miles was a lost hope. But even one of these other people.... It was something to think about.
