"EIGHT DAYS A WEEK"
In the eight days to his 68th birthday, I will be sharing the drawings, illustrations and paintings I've done of Paul McCartney. This is DAY FIVE.
The BEATLES in "Norwegian Woods"-considering how long I've been a fan of the Beatles, it's somewhat amazing it took me until 2006 to render a full-production, full-color image of my favorite band. The story is in detail here-but the gist is simply, I decided one day to "play all four Beatles" and pose for this portrait.
Being a bass player since I was fourteen, the prop of Paul McCartney's bass was easy-my no-longer-playable first guitar, a Japanese copy of the famous Hofner "Beatle-bass."
