Tardis Pendant

Sep 03, 2008 00:34

Hi. I just learned of this community over the weekend at Dragon*Con. Here's a fused glass Tardis pendant I made. It's a little on the large side for a pendant -- 2.75 inches tall. But, you know, larger on the inside.

That's a great pendant! I love the bright blue, and I love seeing everyone's crafts here. I wish I had more time to get back into crafting, because I would seriously love to make a lot of the projects on the site. Unfortunately, I'm stuck overseas in a 14-hour-a-day job, with no craft stores to be found.

I still get my Who-foo craft fix, though! I didn't make the pendant below myself, except in so far as I redrew the design, chose the gems, and 'supervised' the local jeweler. But hey, it's still crafted by someone! It's silver with peridot, citrine and blue topaz, and I love it just a little too much. :)

Thanks for sharing your photo.

I don't blame you for loving it! It's awesome. I bet you get comments on it every time you wear it.

Thanks for the comment. :)

I WANT ONE. There's a jewelry studio at school and I keep thinking up Gallifreyan-design jewelry I want to make but it's all so bloody intricate.

Silversmithing student here - and ... well, JAW DROP. That is some quality craft there. Fine wirework is a real sod to do soldering on, and managing to keep all those short legths in place while you fix them - my head aches just thinking about it.
I WANT ONE!
