Yet another recipe I'd like to try...

After a long morning of work, I am free for more than 24 hours! I decided to watch my favorite youtube cooking show, "cooking with dog". It's not as disturbing as the title sounds. Really. It's a Japanese woman showing how to make traditional Japanese delicacies. Her poodle, Francis, sits patiently from start to finish, and he is the "narrator". Anyways, they posted a video on how to make taiyaki pastries. They're fish-shaped pancakes filled with sweet red or white bean past. Some people say that peanut butter is a tasty substitution, and I got to thinking. Why not nutella? Anyways, that's next on my "must make" list, but it will be a little while before I can attempt it, as I'll have to order the fish-shaped molds off the internet. This mold, or taiyaki-ki, is a lot like a stove-top waffle iron, and I'll be able to make just plain ones for breakfast if people want them. I also read that jams and jellies make great filling substitutes as well. I'm thinking raspberry. Man I'm hungry!

We had not one, but 2 women bring their dogs into our store today. I love dogs, but I don't think they should be allowed inside a building that has an open kitchen area, such as a coffee-shop. On top of that, I think it's a little unfair to other customers, because they may be sensitive to the dander. And their excuses were both the same. "I can't leave him alone outside! He's too little! And I'm only in here for a few minutes". Then don't bring him! Leave him at home for those few minutes, or better yet, go a couple miles down the road to a place with a drive-through! The dogs aren't the problem really. It's just the owners.
