Very cool! And faster than the standard method for one-offs. I shall try this on the coming weekend.

Hi!I'm portuguese and I don't understand when you all keep talking about Modge Podge.. Is that the brand of the glue of is something different from glue?

This was the first time that I understood silk screen.. other people do it with glass, it's a bit confusing for me..thank you!:)

one more thing.. when you attach the embroidery hoop to the fabric (or whatever), doesn't it stay a little above the surface, because it's in bettween the wooden things? How do you draw the picture that way, and in the end, put the ink, if the fabric is not in direct contact, but a little above?(It's stretched right?, so it doesn't go down... I don't understand that part..)

Oh, and I forgot to add the best part:

The screen can be used over, and over, and over, and over...

Which is why I prefer this over the "contact paper stencil method" any day. Just make sure to rinse the ink out when you're done :o)

Tres Preguntas (3 Questions)
Rinsing out the paint won't rinse out the glue?
Can you take it off the hoop so you can reuse this?
Where do you pick up Screen Printing Ink?

I want to do this so bad now - and have 10 blank shirts I bought at Walgreens to try this out on. Yippie!

Modge Modge is not water soluble, so it doesn't rinse off the glue. I don't scrub or anything, but just rinsing doesn't ruin a thing.

I'm sure you can take it off the hoop, though I've been told it's a little tricky to get the material back on straight. I haven't done it yet, but I'm sure it's possible.

And I bought the ink at Hobby Lobby. I don't think they carry anything similar at Walmart, so I'd try a craft store.
