Project Book

Again, I can't seem to get in the habit of posting my things. I must work on that...

So what I have to show you isn't exactly an art project, but more of a way I became more organized. It's kind of an art project though... Just take a look. Maybe it'll help you too. :) It has helped me brainstorm for our Secret Santa exchange since I was so at a loss of what to do. I grabbed my book and looked through it during my lunch break at work. Very handy this is indeed.

My mom did something similar with her cooking recipes. I collected jewelry/crafty ideas, tips, projects ideas and arranged and taped them onto heavy paper, punched holes and put them into a binder. For some project ideas (like from magazines), the print was on both sides of the page so I used plastic sleeves instead.

As you can see I almost need a new binder. I will just go ahead and purchase a HUGE binder so I won't have to worry about space. Then I think I will put dividers to be a little more organized.

I have a whole reference section on metal types, lengths of necklaces, wire gauges, birthstone colors, beads types, how to take photos of jewelry, etc.

I have a pearl reference section too. Most of the info I collected was from Fire Mountain Gem & Bead catalogs.

Below is one of the many full project tutorials I've gathered from magazines.

And this is one of many "collage" pages. I have a lot of necklaces ideas that I arranged together. I also have a bracelet section, and a misc. collage section for rings, brooches, Christmas ornaments, etc.

Thanks for looking!
