earrings

Just a single pair of earrings I made last night for my best friend.

I think they're my nicest pair ever. Constructive criticism?

not too big of a picture, but cut just in case )

Very cute. Maybe a little long though.

I was thinking they might be--they're definitely too long for me to wear, but might be just right for her. Just in case though, I have jewelry pliers/loop maker and jewelry cutters in a bag with a bunch of jump rings in case I have to shorten them.

OMG, frankcheez, are you the artist of your icon? So freaking adorable, would make a very cute card.

The icon was made by non_essentials and it looks like she got the art from here http://scienceishardcore.deviantart.com/art/Merry-Christmas-Card-Draft-67733834

very beautiful and simple :) i think you've chosen some great colors to go together. the pink and the pearl are simple, and elegant, but the rich purple adds a great spark to the earrings. i don't think they're too long, i think the length you've chosen suits this sort of earring :)

Thanks! Everyone's loving the color combo. I think she will, too. =)

Her favorite eyeshadows are in similar colors so that will be cool.

line up the loops on the headpins on some of the pearl dangles.

now the look like the cut end overlaps.. it should light up and touch.. :-)

just re-align and squish with a jewelers flat pliers (or a protected regular pliers - to keep the pliers from marring the metal) and also make the loops flat to the rest of the head-pin... some of them look kinda / tilted.

looks like a nice pair and superfun to wear!

yeah, there's the whole wacky "science" to bending headpins. Not that most folks would notice... BUT if she has long hair, the dangles will be less likley to grab the strands.
