That being said, I do feel that some sort of activity guideline is needed. I've never heard from/seen posts/logs by probably 70% of the people on my characters' friendslists since I've joined, and that's just not right (admittedly, I may just be missing them all, but I don't think I'm missing THAT much). I realize this community was made for something other than a major RPing group, and with the intent of not having any rules or requirements, but the group has changed since then and the rules (or lack of them) MUST as well in order to keep things from stagnating. You can't operate Windows Vista programs on Windows 95 :p.
Interacting, ICly, at least once a month should not be having to pull teeth here, and that's what I find sad. Yes, things come up IRL--I myself was just gone for basically 6 weeks straight--but is it really so hard for characters to post something like "Still sitting here. Not doing anything. It's boring."? Or to comment on someone's post? Or do a log with someone? Or something? Just so we know you still care?
Man, and I thought my mom was anal when she wanted me to call/email her at least once a day so she'd know I was alive >>.
