Of Advertising and questions like that.
Hey guys~!
I was considering advertising Cracktran on rp_me_tf sometime soon, to get us some new players (we need our humans, after all!), but I didn't want to do anything without running it by y'all first. I figure this post can be the generic "WHAT IS CRACKTRANS?" post, so if any of us ever decide we want to advertise, we can pull from what people say here.
So, I'll put what I've got right now in the entry - it'd be nice to see what you guys think; what to put in, what to leave out, what Cracktrans is for you, etc. We can build up a big, scattered explanation and go from there, if it's cool with y'all.
"Location: Livejournal/AOL Instant Messanger
Type: TF-only, 2007 movieverse with some hints of other canons (including characters from G1, Beastwars, and even Kissplayer), and a lot of crack.
Setting: Set after the 2007 movie - THERE'S NOT REALLY A PLOT. IT'S CRACK.
Alright so here's the scoop; basically, the Autobots and the Decepticons have made peace (because Prime and Megatron got over their lover's spat). That's kind of it. Galvatron and Nemesis are Team Rocket, Starscream sang "Still Alive", there's something about Unicron and Primus, Sector-7 was destroyed (FOR NOW?), aaand oh yeah
IT'S CRACK.
After all, it's called "cracktrans" for a reason right.
Basically, we don't have formal rules (just the generic "don't be a jerk, check your spelling, don't be a jerk" stuff that yo' momma should have taught ya), nor do we have a formal application to fill out.
We don't have most of the 2007-verse humans (Sam, the Witwickys, Mikaela, Lennox, etc.) anymore, so those are all open! We also deal in G1-related stuff, so G1-bots are OK to take too!
The only thing we ask - and this is only because we've had bad experiences in the past - is that you head on in to the OOC chat beforehand, so you can get to know the players, ask your questions and get some answers, and such.
Disclaimer: We're really cracky. Really. Also, there's lots of slash (of the robo-variety) involved, so you should probably be OK with that stuff.
Head on over to cracktran1 if you're interested. Sanity is not required - a healthy love for crack is! (We also like it when you spell and punctuate properly in RPs :3)
(By request of muns: While we do have a few Original Characters, they are relatively lesser-played than the canon characters of their muns. They are also all crack-spawned, and are not meant to be serious characters. We do not want original characters - there are plenty of characters to pick up. Thanks!)"
