Plot Idea: Freaky Friday
Imagine this:
One night, while every mech is warm and comfy wherever they're warm and comfy, a freak lightning storm picks up over the base (and/or wherever any other characters are XD). CHHTZZT!
Lightning hits the base.
In the morning, [Character X] wakes up...
...In [Character Y]'s body.
Do Want? y/n
So say X is in Y's body. This is easily represented in two ways: LJ posts and chat fonts.
Most of us have very obvious fonts when we're in chat, so it'd simply be a matter of changing your default font to whomever you got as your switched buddy. (Some people are less obvious than others - they'd have to either mark their text with "[Character]" before lines, make new AIM names, or just exchange temporary passwords with each other for the time of the plot - however y'all want it.
LJ posts are also easy - we can either snag the default Icon off of whoever we switch with, and use that icon, or e-mail each other a LJ post we want posted on the character's LJ. Either way works out pretty flawlessly, I'd think.
People would get to choose who they switch with, but there are some things you should keep in mind when switching: No Bonded Switching, Lulz Are Requested, and Humans Are Go. If you don't have anyone you want to switch with in particular (but WANT to play), we can set up a random draw.
Most importantly, you don't HAVE TO switch. If you don't feel like doing it, then you simply don't put your character up for availability. That way, everyone gets what they want. :D
If you like the idea, comment here with a list of characters that you'd be up to play it with. I put Bonecrusher and Convoy up, and I'll add more if we need more characters to balance out the players. If you have any extra ideas for it, post those too! When this thread goes stagnate I'll gather up the list of open characters and make a post with them so we can go on and pick our peoplez.
