i don't really know what he is. alot of people have theories- expensive fringe pedigrees, etc. i think hes a terrier mix, but his ears can stand upright like a chihuahua when hes curious.
you met Pinky didn't you? he was in Nick's film. Pinky was the yin to Ernesto's yang. i used to love walking the both of them together. this pack of little black dogs, one sweet and kissy (Ernesto),the other stand offish and defensive (Pinky).

i got Ernesto from a squatter kid with a dope habit in Thompkins Square Park. Ernesto was a puppy (he still looks like one though) and the kid said he couldn't afford to keep him and by the way, did I have ten bucks?
Best ten dollars I have ever spent. I love Ernesto and he has inspired many songs of love.

A few months ago, I gave a little Pomeranian to my girlfriend. Her and her daughter now love him to death. He goes everywhere with them, is not yappy, and does spontaneous, circular "happy dances" throughout the day. The only drawback is that sometimes when I walk him, young ruffians in passing cars will loudly comment on my "fancy dog".
