It's been some time since he's been back here. A world caught up in a civil war between overpowering aliens. He's in no way eager to call attention to himself.

The Decepticons were mystified by his transformation when it happened, but they encouraged him to start reconnaissance on humanity, and help figure out ways to manipulate them as a tool against the Autobots.

This was many months ago, and he's quite sure they've noticed that he stopped filing reports after the second one.

He's in a library in Des Moines, not really close to any strategic targets his former comrades might consider. Trying to catch up on their movements through the human news media now that he's got an immense amount of experience with reference materials. The trouble is that the humans focus on the terror and death tolls, and very little on trying to discern any overall plans. Perhaps they just leave it to the Autobots to do, and they spend their time whining. The media does distort often, though.

Nothing he can find about human-Cybertronian transference, but this is easily something they'd never have made public.

No. The disturbing thing he's found are the growing reports of an alien serial killer. Definitely not really a Decepticon tactic - bothering with individual humans seems beneath them - but the reports insist that a Cybertronian has been killing in a specific pattern. Technically, there could be other mechanicial life-forms here, but the conclusion is easy to jump to.

And he recognizes the M.O. Similar cases, similar clues, but different in ways they wouldn't think to analyze.

Ravage. Ratbat.

And the victims all match his own general description. They've been trying to find him. Trying to flush him out. For months.

Fourteen victims.

Primus.

Thundercracker sits, staring at these reports for a long, long while. Until sky grows dark and he's being politely coughed towards to indicate he should leave.

You selfish afthole.

His phone doesn't work here, but his money still does.

And now, he's got a place to be in a hurry.
