Why TV is bad for the paranoid.
Has anyone ever seen the CSI (Las Vegas - the only good one if you ask me) where they find the dead gigantor muscle guy whose been on the roids big time? He looks like his face is smashed in, and they assume that he dropped a dumbbell on his face...or that someone else did.
So it turns out that he has all this crazy mold growing inside his wall & AC vents, and that he'd been breathing it in and it actually rotted his cheek bone and his face caved in.
So what the hell is my point you might be asking? Yesterday, I discover an area of my apartment on the wall on the other side of the shower where the paint is bubbling up and flaking off. It's a classic symptom of leaky pipes, says I in my best Bob Villa imitation. Although I see no mold, it's Florida and where there is water and darkness there is mold. So now I'm wondering if the sinus headaches I've been having are something else and I keeping pressing on my cheek bones and nose wondering when my face is going to cave in. My landlord is going to think I'm crazy when I tell him all this, but somehow I'm comfortable with that.
